Moscow Vnukovo Airport (IATA: VKO, ICAO: UUWW) is one of the three international airports that serves Moscow (other airports are Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo). Vnukovo Airport is located 28 kilometres southwest of Moscow, Russia.

In 2003 the federal government transferred the controlling stake in the airport to the Government of Moscow and started a massive reconstruction and strategic development programme.

Vulkovo Airport was opened in July 1941 and is the oldest operating airport in Moscow. The passenger service started after the war.
In 2015, 15,8 million passengers used the Airport (+24% growth) comparing with 2014. Is the 3rd busiest airport in Russia just after Domodedovo Airport.


Vnukovo has three operating terminals named A, B and D, located all together. Terminal D is only used for domestic arrivals from North Caucasus


Vnukovo Airport is a operating base for Gzapromavia, I-Fly and Pobeda, and also a hub for passenger operations of UTair Aviation.


Terminal A

Operates with domestic and international flights (with the exception of flight arriving from North Caucasus region). Regular airlines: Aigle Azur,Lufthansa, Transaero, Georgian Airways, Turkish airlines, UTair, with transit to European countries. Terminal A links directly with Aeroexpress railway station (underground), located on the ground level (Arrivals Area).

The terminal has three floors:

- Underground: access to aeroexpress

- Ground Floor: Arrivals area.

- Check-in area is located on the II floor of the terminal, the departures level.

- Level 3: includes a cafes, the VIP Lounge, business lounge and the airline offices.

Terminal B

It handles domestic flights (with the exception of some flights arriving from the North Caucasus region).

Regular international airlines: Azur, Lufthansa, Transaero, Georgian Airways, Turkish airlines, UTair, with All charter flights (except Transaero) with regular international with Bluebird Airways, Germanwings, WizzAir Syrian Arab Airlines, among others.

Passengers can only access to Terminal B via the Ground Level.


Terminal D

Only handles some domestic flights, most of them from cities/airport from the North Caucasus region.

Passengers can only access to Terminal D through Terminal B.


The terminal is provided with: a children’s playroom (passengers must pass a short medical examination before enter to the room), a gift shop, and a café (2nd floor).


- Aeroexpress: Kiev Railway Station links with Vnukovo airport. Travel Time: 35-40 minutes. Aeroexpress station at Vnukovo airport links directly with underground level or Terminal A. Trains run from 06.00am to 00.0am.


- Bus: Bus 611, 611k. Route: Art. Metro South-West - Art. Metro Troparevo - Vnukovo Airport - Vnukovo Plant. Travel time: 35-40 min. Buses depart every 10-12 minutes. "Vnukovo Airport" is an intermediate stop. Hours: from 05.00 am to 01.00 am.


- Shuttle: Vnukovo airport provides shuttle service to connect/transfer passengers between terminals with a minimum connection time. Travellers must buy a single ticket.


- Taxi: Trans-Free is the taxi company that provides service to/from Vnukovi airport. Taxi rank location: opposite from Terminal A exit. Travel time to Moscow is about 45 minutes. Taxi service runs from 07:00 am to 22:30 am approx. To request previously taxi services: Phone: +7 (495) 662 86 86
